Police were called at 16:56pm yesterday (14 May) to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A590, Barrow. The collision involved a motorbike and a wagon. An 18-year-old man – the motorcyclist - was taken to Preston Hospital via air ambulance having suffered serious injuries. He remains in hospital today (15 May). The road was closed but re-opened at around 10pm. Previous press release below: Emergency services are currently responding to a road traffic collision in Barrow on the A590. The collision, involving two vehicles, was reported to police at 4:56pm today (14 May) and occurred on Park Road. Park Road is closed in both directions between Bank Lane and Sandscale Park. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
